Al Ahly’s football first team achieved an important 4-2 victory over Al Masry at Alexandria Stadium on Friday in Matchday 32 of the Egyptian Premier League. 
In a thrilling match, Salah Mohsen, Taher Mohamed Taher, Hussein El Sahahat, and Mahmoud Kahraba guided us to a dramatic win.
We tried to add more goals in the game, but our attempts were blocked by the opponent’s defense.  

The First Half

The first half started with a break-neck pace, as the Red Eagles were trying to score the opener in the early minutes. 
It was not until the second minute when Hussien El Shahat delivered a cross from the right flank, which found Taher, but he failed to convert it into the back of the net.
In the 3rd minute, we had another scoring chance, as Afsha was close to breaking the deadlock. Taher unleashed a brilliant cross from the left flank. Afsha then shot the ball, but the keeper managed to block it.

Salah Mohsen passed the ball to El Shahat in the final third. El Shahat sprinted and shot the ball, but the goalkeeper was in the way again.
After missing several chances, we managed to take the lead, thanks to a brilliant header from Salah Mohsen. Ali Maaloul ran down the left flank and delivered a sensational cross. Salah then blasted a strong header to gift us a 1-0 lead. 

Al Masry tried to equalize, and in the 20th minute, El Shenawy saved his net from a dangerous chance for Al Masry. 
Al Masry had another scoring chance from a corner kick. El Shenawy was needed again, as he deflected the ball away, but it went to Al Masry’s player at the edge of the box. He shot the ball towards the right corner, but our keeper managed to block it to keep our 1-0 lead.

In the 30th minute, Omar Kamal netted the equalizer with a strong shot inside the box. Five minutes later, Taher added the second goal from an impressive header. El Shahat was on a good run of form tonight. He sent a brilliant cross from the right flank, which met Taher’s head and went to the back of the net, making it 2-1 for the Red Eagles. 
However, Al Masry’s Ahmed Gomaa was awarded a penalty due to a late challenge from Amr El Soulia. The visitors then equalized the score again from the spot.

In the dying minutes of the first half, El Shahat dribbled past the defenders on the right flank and reached the opponent’s box. With a vital finish, he netted the third goal to gift us a 3-2 lead before the break.  

Second Half

Pitso Mosimane, our head coach, made his first substitution in the game at the beginning of the second half, as Aliou Dieng joined the pitch instead of Hamdy Fathy.
The first ten minutes of the second saw great pressure from Al Masry, as they were seeking to equalize the score again, but our defense stood their ground.

 In the 63rd minute, Mosimane used his bench again as Marwan Mohsen and Mohamed Hany joined the game instead of Akram Tawfik and Taher Mohamed Taher. 
The Red Eagles looked sharp in the last 15 minutes of the game, as we threatened Al Masry’s goal several times. Mahmoud Kahraba made his first appearance in the game after seven minutes of his entrance. 

El Shahat kept his staggering performance tonight. He received the ball in the final third and then passed it to Kahraba, who converted it into the back of the net to make it 4-2.
We had another scoring chance three minutes later, as Kahraba sent a cross inside the box, but Hany’s shot hit the bar and went to Al Masry’s defenders.
In the 86th minute, Walter Bwalya joined the game instead of Afsha.

 In the game's final minutes, we controlled the possession and the game’s tempo until the referee blew his final whistle to declare a 4-2 victory for the Red Eagles.
